Based in Moncton, New Brunswick, our clinic is designated by IRCC to offer Immigration Medical Exams for those applying for Canadian permanent residence, visitor, student and work visas and refugee status.

Immigration Medical Exam

Our clinic is designated by Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to offer Immigration Medical Exams.

Also known as eMedical or UpFront Medical, these appointments can be booked online for your convenience. You can also book your appointment in person at our office.

Once you complete your exam with us, you will be required to complete X-Ray and blood test at Moncton hospital.

Prior to your appointment, be sure to review the required documentation, such as your original passport or Refugee ID and IMM1017 form if applicable. The steps to complete the exams are outlined below:

  1. Pick a date
  2. Enter your personal information
  3. Pay deposit fees

After completing all the above, you will get a confirmation email with the appointment day instructions.

The medical exam may include but not limited to:

  • Vision test
  • Urine sample Collection
  • Physical exam

Before leaving the clinic, you will be provided a copy of your information sheet.

Your results are sent directly to CIC.

X-Ray and blood testGetting them done

X-Ray: We book an appointment for you and will send you an email for the date and time.

Bloodwork: We provide you with the phone number to call and have it done on the same day as your X-Ray

X-Ray and blood test are to be done at Moncton Hospital. The first step is to go to finance departement and pay the applicable fees.

Exam day

The exam takes approximately one hour. On your day of appointment, arrive a few minutes early and bring the following documents with you:

  • Original passport
  • All current medications
  • IMM1017 form if you have been issued one. It is NOT REQUIRED for an Upfront Medical
  • Prescription glasses/contact lenses
  • Exam fees: $200 for 11 years and older, $180 for under 11 years (If you paid the deposit fees while booking the appointment, the deposit will be deducted from your total)
  • A small passport size photo
  • * Important: If you have a previous or existing medical condition, bring any medical reports, test results or prescriptions that you may have with you to your appointment. This may help reduce the time it takes for your application to be processed.

    We serve patients in both English and French. If you require an interpreter, please bring them with you on the day of your exam.

    After your exam is completed, we will provide you an information sheet as proof of eMedical document with your photo and case number to be uploaded to IRCC.

    The cost of these tests is $194.10. The prices are subjected to change without notice.

    Once the tests are done, we are responsible to forward them to IRCC within 10 days. You don't need to call the office.
